Michiko Peters

Michiko Peters, 93, of Round Top, TX, died on August 6, 2020, in College Station, TX.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family present from 5:00–7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Florida Chapel Cemetery at Round Top with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Those attending are required to wear masks.

Mrs. Peters was born on March 22, 1927 in Okinawa, Japan to Goro and Yana Tadakuma. On Feb. 6, 1951, she was married to Edgar “E.P.” Peters in Japan.

Michiko loved spending time in her yard. She enjoyed mowing and anything and everything pertaining to flowers. Michiko’s family was the light of her life. She never missed any event that pertained to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking especially her “sweet rice & noodles”, baking “ German Chocolate Cakes”, and crocheting. Michiko also had a love for game shows. Michiko’s smile was contagious, and to know her, was to love her.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Peters of Carmine; daughter, Brenda Mueller of Carmine; grandchildren, Kaci and Cliff Mueller and Kayla and Jordan Peters; and sister-in-law, Ruby Partain of Waller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “E.P.” Peters; son, Richard Peters; granddaughter, Karlee Layne Peters; and brother-in-law, Arthur Partain.

Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top or a charity of your choice.
