Mrs. House was born on November 2, 1929 in Houston, TX to Henry and Martha Ehlert Kitzman. She married her husband, Jim Tom House, on June 10, 1954.

Lydia was a true, hard-working, servant to people and God. She was a gifted teacher and caregiver who influenced many children’s lives in positive ways. Her grand and great-grandchildren were the delight of her life. She loved being with and taking care of her family, playing piano, and playing the game of 42. We have all been blessed to know and love her. Even in our loss, we are rejoicing that she now resides, made perfect and whole, in Heaven with loved ones who went before and her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Henry House “Tom” and wife Jessica of Florence, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Lydia “Ann” Jurden and husband Daniel W. “Dan” of Brenham, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Bill Kitzman and wife Mary Grace; brother, Oliver Kitzman; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Kitzman and Beverly Kitzman; grandchildren, Philip Richard McLemore and wife Jennifer, Rachel Michelle Markham and husband Cole, LeeAnn Jurden, Pam House, Lane Allison Morgan and husband Howard, Terry Potter and husband Chris, Kara Beth McLemore and husband Brody, Emily Stilson and husband Tyler, Laura House, and Kelly Dee Jurden; great grandchildren, Jackson Markham, Wesley Markham, Marshall Markham, Rose Markham, Tara McLemore, Luke Stilson, Aaron Stilson, and Martha Kate Stilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Kitzman; husband, Jim Tom House; daughter, Martha Frances McLemore “Marti”; brother and sister-in-law, Ellis Kitzman and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Norma Jean; brothers, Norman Kitzman and Henry Kitzman Jr.; sisters, Laverne Dow and Glister Biddy; and all of Jim Tom’s siblings and spouses.
