Linda Kamiel (Smith) Littleton
On February 18, 1943 Willie Frank and Laura Bell (Brackeen) Smith of Harlingen, Texas were blessed with a baby girl, Linda Kamiel. Linda was educated in the Harlingen school system. After graduation, Linda went to work in her aunt and uncles drug store. It was there, that Linda met the love of her life, John A. Littleton. John and Linda married September 4, 1965. To this union were two sons, Douglas “Doug” Sean and Steven “Steve” Frank.
Linda had a love for quilting and showed her love through the many meals she cooked for her family. Linda’s greatest love, however, was her family. She was affectionately called “Gee” by her grandchildren who loved her very much.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, John A. Littleton of Brenham; sons, Doug (Kim) of Brenham and Steve (Sharon) of Berthoud, CO; grandchildren, Haley of College Station, TX, Reed and Jennalee of Brenham, Hannah (Cooper)Baxter of Lake Creek, TX, Sarah of McKinney, TX, Rebecca Pope of Dublin Ireland, Sarah Pope (Tim Keeler) of San Francisco CA, a great-grandchild, Casen Baxter; brothers Bill Smith (Dorothy) of Brenham, and John Smith (Kris) of San Benito, TX; niece, Amy Barreiro (Chris) of Flower Mound, TX and nephews Dean Smith (Julie) and their daughter, Rachael of Pflugerville, and Skipper Smith of New Braunfels.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Rev. Marty Mosher officiating.
