Frank Rybarski

Frank Michael Rybarski died surrounded by his family at home on August 3, 2020 at the age of 81. He was born on April 13,1939 in Brenham, TX to Stanley and Nancy Rybarski. In his younger years, he attended school at St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he enjoyed playing baseball with his friends who gave him the nickname Pierre.

At a young age, he began working at the auction barn and later became a tile setter where he mentored many in order to keep the trade alive. He traveled often for work, including a stop in Hawaii. Through the years, his hobbies included, camping and fishing at Pecan Lake, hunting, barbequing, and sitting on the front porch.

He also helped establish the Long Neck Riders who he rode with for many years and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. Many knew him as a man of few words who was often strict but had a soft spot when it came to his grandkids.

On June 23,1962 he married Lucille Wrobleski. They were blessed with 3 children. Frank is survived by the love of his life Lucy of 58 years, his children Debbie and Johnnie Eckert, Dean Rybarski, and Shannon and Mark Schwartz. He was affectionately known to his grandchildren as Peeps. These include Michael and Marian Eckert, Trevor and Jill Eckert, Addie Schwartz and fiancé Colton Luetge, and Taylor and Kelsey Rybarski. Great grandchildren are Chet and Hudson Eckert, Gunnar Eckert, and Adonie Rybarski. Siblings are Steve and Joy Rybarski, Rose and Larry Benker, Stanley Rybarski Jr., Pat McIntyre and Edwina Hampton. Sister in laws are Geraldine Rybarski, Annie Rybarski, and Rita Knipstein. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, in laws Leon and Louise Wroblesk, brothers Albert, Bruno and Edward Rybarski and grandson Tanner Schwartz.

Pallbearers are Johnnie, Michael and Trevor Eckert, Taylor Rybarski, and Mark, Tanner and Addie Schwartz. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Barnes, Ted Zientek, Fred Kessel, Chris and Kevin Rybarski, Larry Budnik and Reuben Mikeska.

The visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Thursday, August 6 from 7 am-7pm. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Joven Saavedra at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, August 7 at 10am. The burial is to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley.
