Alvin Franklin Lindsay, 84, of Bellville, died August 19, 2020, in Cypress, TX.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no services held at this time.

Alvin was born October 5, 1935, to John and Julia (Chiles) Lindsay, in Victoria, TX. Alvin proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home, Alvin met and married the love of his life Ella Mae Horn. They were married 47 years.

As a young man he attended Patti Welder School in Victoria, TX. There he excelled at football, and was a running back on the team. He became an avid sports fan, never missing a football or baseball game. He loved to watch the Houston Oilers and Houston Astros. Alvin also loved to listen to 50s music, especially Elvis, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Dean Martin, and to thump a foot to Patriotic March Music. He also loved his vegetable garden.

Alvin is survived by his sons, Alvin Lindsay, Jr. and Mathew Lindsay. He is preceded in death by his parents.
