Willie Lewandowski, 91, of Chappell Hill, TX died on January 2, 2022.

Willie was born on January 12, 1930 to parents Stanley and Martha (Springer) Lewandowski.

Willie was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. On October 20, 1956 he married Bernice Lucherk in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill. He served in the United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Willie was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11277 and was an active participant in the senior group. Willie also volunteered his time for the church. He was employed by Steve's Installation, Inc. for thirty years, and retired in 1985. After his retirement he enjoyed ranching, deer hunting, fishing, watching the Astros, and playing cards with family and friends. Willie loved country music, and game shows on T.V. He loved to fix things and work with woodwork. In 1994 he and his wife Bernice moved from Houston, TX to Chappell Hill.

He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Bernice for sixty-five years; sons, Garry Lewandowski and wife Pam of Cypress, TX, Alan Lewandowski and wife Cheryl of Tomball, TX; grandson, Garrett Lewandowski and wife Erin of Cypress, TX; granddaughters, Kristin McCormick and husband Shawn of Tomball, TX, Madison Teague and husband Austin of El Paso, Kathryn Lewandowski and fiancé Trent Faulkner of Lipan; great-grandchildren, Charlotte McCormick and Marie Lewandowski; sisters, Frances Kmiec; sisters-in-law, Elnora Lewandowski, Florence Lewandowski, Augustine Baskin, Marilyn Lucherk, Dorothy Jozwiak; brothers-in-law, Ike Jozwiak and John Krolczyk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen Flisowski; brothers, Stanley and Sigmond Lewandowski.

Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Lewandowski (grandson), Shawn McCormick (grandson-in-law), Austin Teague (grandson-in-law), Trent Faulkner (grandson-in-law), Glen Wilson (nephew-in-law), Mark Kmiec (nephew and Godson), Ronnie Lewandowski (nephew), Kenny Lucherk (nephew).

The family would like to thank the nurses at Brenham Nursing and Rehab Center for all the wonderful care they gave to Willie.

Visitation with the family will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm; rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. A Christian Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday January 7, 2022 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Jozef Musiol officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery.
