Willie Horak

Willie E. Horak (Pancho), age 84, died Wednesday morning, September 1, 2021.

A funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, in Cypress, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 officiated by Pastor Brad Otto with full military honors. The burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, at 1:30 p.m.

Willie was born on January 15, 1937 to Willie E. Horak Sr. and Lydia Quebe Horak. On October 15, 1961 he married his wife Elsie Marie Schaefer at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. He served in the U.S Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; sons, Timothy Horak and Mark Horak; brother and sister-in-law, Valgene and Linda Horak; grandchild, Chandler Horak; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Delores Bauer Stark; and niece, Patricia Bauer Workman.
