Susanna Field

Susanna Elisabeth Field (Sue Sue, to many) was born to Joseph John Field and Melinda Faye Weems on August 19th, 1980 in Galveston County. She had no siblings. By the time Susanna was five years old she was placed under the care of Child Protective Services and began her life under the care of others.

Susana lived in State facilities, Foster homes, hospitals and Group Homes. She lived in many different cities: Galveston, Dallas, Austin, Corpus Christi and Hempstead, but she spent most of her adult years here, in Brenham Texas. She left us on April 10, 2022, at 41 years old and has now found peace in God’s home.

Although, Susanna lived a life often tormented by memories of her past, she also found joy, love and support among the people who cared for her, on a daily basis. Susanna touched the lives of her Home and Day Habilitation Direct Support Professionals, Medical and Case Management Professionals and her Friends For Life, Guardians, all of whom will miss her deeply.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Susanna’s life at Noon, on April 21st at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham TX. Her Memorial Service will be followed by a grave side service at 1:30PM at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
