Ruth Broecker

Ruth Lampe Broecker, 79, of Brenham, wife of Clinton Otto Broecker, died April 1, 2021 at the San Gabriel Rehabilitation and Care Center in Round Rock, TX.

Ruth Broecker was born July 30, 1941 in Brenham to August and Lydia Hegefeld Lampe.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Salem until her death.   She was married to Clinton Otto Broecker on November 25, 1961 at the Immanuel Luther Church of Wiedeville.

Ruth loved to cook and take care of her family.  She was previously employed in the insurance industry for over 30 years with Wellman Insurance, Ehlert Insurance, and American General Insurance Company and retired in 2006.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Broecker-Zabala and son-in-law, Bobby Zabala of Round Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Carol Lampe Kemper.

A private service was held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham on April 6, 2021 and burial followed at the Prairie Lea Cemetery.
