Rodney Gaddy

Rodney Dewayne Gaddy, 63 of Brenham entered into his eternal rest on January 3, 2022.

Rodney was born on October 14, 1958 to Bobby Gaddy and Vernell (Pohlmeyer) Gaddy. He was baptized on November 9, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Austin, Tx. and was confirmed into the Christian Faith on April 16, 1973 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Wm. Penn by Pastor Paul Hartfield.

He was a long-haul truck driver and worked at Valmont until diabetes proved to be more stubborn than he was. He finally succumbed to that ravishing disease.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Willie C. and Bertha Pohlmeyer and Alfred Gaddy and Ada Schafer.

Survivors include sister Colleen Latham, brother and sister-n-law Randy and Sharon Gaddy all of Brenham; nieces, Leslie (Arturo) Maya, Brandy Gaddy, Amanda (Kevin) Watson, Kaci Luera, Jennifer Luera and numerous great nieces and great nephews who loved him very much. Along with his best friend William (Chip) Mitchell.

The family sends a heartfelt thank-you to the Washington County EMS for the many years of service to Rodney, your kindness has not gone unnoticed.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Wm. Penn. Cemetery with Pastor Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church Wm. Penn. 10202 FM1935 Brenham, Tx.
