Mary Frances Whisnant

Mary Frances Whisnant, 91, of Brenham passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 with a Funeral Service starting at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gay Hill.

She was born on October 16, 1930 in Detroit Michigan to Frank John O’Rourke and Lucille Adela Latulippe O’Rourke.

She is survived by her son, Dale Whisnant of Brenham, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Betty Whisnant of Brenham, TX, Danny and Cheri Whisnant of Cordova, TN, Bill and Jennifer Whisnant of Zephyrhills, Fl, Bob and Julie Whisnant of Columbus, TX and Roy and Laurie Whisnant of LaGrange, TX. Daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Cory Singelyn of Richmond, MI and Brenda and Butch Jones of Brenham, TX. Brother, Robert O’Rourke of Arizona. Grandchildren, Nikki and Jake Sims. Loree and Will Hegar, Alexandria Whisnant, Bobbi Lynn Singelyn, Justin and Amy Singelyn, Tanya Sanders, Travis Whisnant, Tara Whisnant, Sara Whisnant, Troy Whisnant, Casey Whisnant, Jessica and Taylor Radley, Bobby and Crystal Whisnant, Brianne Whisnant, Brandon Whisnant, Brent and Kayla Whisnant, Blair and Jayne Whisnant, Kindra and BJ Brooks and David Whisnant. Step-grandchildren; Sam and Annie, Amy and Levi, Eric, Caty, and Justin. She is also survived by 29 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Whisnant; daughters-in-law, Danetta Whisnant, Karla Whisnant, and Gina Whisnant; daughter, Carol Whisnant, granddaughters, Jodie Whisnant and Tracy Whisnant.
