Linda Goodrich

After a lengthy illness, Linda Kay Goodrich entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2021. Linda was born on April 29, 1960 to Ron and Jean Hall in Peoria, Illinois. Linda attended Westchester High School in Houston, Texas. She also attended the American School of London.

Linda had a passion for animals. She was always bringing home stray dogs and cats. Her brother Steve would come home from college and be greeted by some strange dog that he had never seen before.

Linda got her first job at Farmers Insurance Agency. Steve always felt she was the smartest of the Hall kids. She studied to be a nurse until her health failed. She was an astute nursing student and could intelligently converse with any doctor.

Linda loved traveling and especially enjoyed the water. She could be found nearly every weekend at Canyon Lake driving her wave-runner way too fast. She enjoyed sharing that time with her sons and grand-daughters.

Linda suffered for many years with cancer but she still managed to spend quality time with Peyton and Temperance, her two darling grand-daughters. Remarkably as Linda’s health deteriorated further, she met each downward step with a smile and unusual courage.

Predeceased by her sons, Brandon and Daniel; her mother, Eleanor Jean; and her brother Mike Hall. Linda is mourned by her father, Ron and his wife, Dixie Hall of Burton; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Debbie Hall of Kerrville; nephews Ryan Hall and family and Troy Hall and family; sister-in-law, Kay Lynn Hall of Houston; cousin, Mary and her husband Jeff Rando; aunts and uncles and long-time childhood friend, Maureen Kenney, and caregiver “Diggy”.

Linda will be laid to rest today at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, TX, at 2:30 pm.
