Jerry was born on June 18,1956 to Eddie and Louise (“Squeakie”) Lacina. He grew up in Brenham with his siblings, Stoney, Cynthia, and Linda. Jerry was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and remained a lifelong member. He graduated from Brenham High School in 1975.

Jerry was a hard worker and always found something to keep him busy. He was employed by the Brenham State School, LaRoche Chevrolet, and other local business as a young man. Later he took over for his Dad in helping manage Lacina’s Automotive and Salvage. His latest endeavor was starting All Appliance Repair.

As soon as the day’s work was done, Jerry was on his way to the family farm in Somerville. He loved fishing, taking care of the cows and chickens, spending time with his dogs, and being outside. The farm was his patch of heaven on earth. Jerry and Cindy spent countless happy afternoons there and made many wonderful memories. Jerry enjoyed getting together with friends to enjoy great times and good music. (ZZ Top and Johnny Cash were his favorites). Jerry was a skilled mechanic and spent hours working on his ’69 Charger. When indoors watching “The Price Is Right”, Jerry’s uncanny ability to guess correctly on every round was something he considered an art.

Jerry is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Lacina, parents, Eddie and Louise Lacina. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Cindy; son, Lee Neal; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Gary Frenzel, nephew, Derek  Frenzel; brother and sister-in law, Stoney and Annie Lacina; nephews, Hunter Griffin, Anthony Griffin and fiancée, Mercedes Lyle, and great-nephew Hudson Griffin.
