Fredrick Martin Stafford, 67, of Burton, and the husband of Pamela (Rivenbark) Stafford, passed away Friday morning, January 13, 2023 at his home.

Fred was born September 9, 1955 in Houston to parents Russell Lee Stafford, Sr. and Agnes Noreen Burgess.

He attended San Jacinto College before embarking on a life-long journey as an entrepreneur.  He was also a published author and accomplished artist whose works have been displayed at a myriad of galleries including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Fred was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.  He purchased his first minibike at the young age of eleven and his first street-legal motorcycle, a Honda CB350 Four, at 17.  He rode with several motorcycle clubs in his life but was most proud of his inclusion in the brotherhood known as Reaching for Freedom Motorcycle Ministry.

Above all, Fred loved his family.  He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his wife of 30 years, Pam Stafford of Burton; his son, Zachariah Stafford of Houston; his grandchildren:  Kaleb Stafford, Em Stafford, and Zoë Stafford;  his brother, Ricki Stafford, Sr. of Houston; nephews:  Ricki Stafford, Jr. and Wesley Wilson;  nieces:  Brandi Russell and Mardi Laurie.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell Stafford, Jr., and sister, Tammy Wilson.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Burton at 2:00 PM with Pastor Arthur Morgan officiating.  A time of visitation with Fred’s family will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kaleb Stafford, Em Stafford, Ricki Stafford, Sr., Ricki Stafford, Jr., Jim Campbell, Karl Helm, Topper, and Wanderer.
