Ellen Wiese, 95 of Brenham TX. died on March 9, 2022. She was the widow of Roy Wiese Jr.

A visitation will be held from 7:00a.m.-7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday March 13, 2022 at First Baptist Church 304 N. Market Street Brenham, TX. with Pastor Troy Sikes officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham. TX.

Ellen was born on November 23, 1926 to Claude Lee and Elva May Thomas Yarbrough. Ellen was a member of First Baptist Church in Brenham, and a member of the Reagan Redcoats in High School. Ellen graduated from the University of Houston where she met her very good friend Betty Jo Lowe. Ellen worked at the Brenham State School for a number of years, and was a avid bridge player. She served as a Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. She was also honored to have been able to meet and have tea with Lady Bird Johnson while she was first lady.

Ellen is survived by son and daughter-in-law Walter Wiese and wife Jean of Garland, Texas; daughters and son-in-law’s Rosemary Hill and husband Perry of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nancy Schwarze and husband Ernie of Brenham, Texas. Along with grandchildren, David Wiese and wife Christina, Melody Tope and husband Kerry, Daniel Hill and wife Katie, Benjamin Ross Hill, Joel Hill, Landon Schwarze & Sarah Schwarze. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren, Isabella Wiese, Angela, Caleb, and Aria Tope.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Lee and Elva May Yarbrough, husband Roy Wiese Jr., and sister and brother-in-law Helen and Al Landua.

Her friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
