Earl Brown

Earl Wayne Brown was born, June 20, 1942 and passed March 11, 2022.

Wayne was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Spring Branch Memorial High School, May 1960.

He engaged in a life-long insurance career, working for USF&G, Highlands Insurance Company and Germania Insurance.

Wayne became a disciple of Jesus later in life and followed him devoutly.  He faithfully served at the churches where he lived, the last of which was Brenham’s First Baptist Church for more than 20 years.  After retirement he gave his time well to Citizen’s on Patrol and Bread Partners.

In his younger years he had a passion for the outdoors exploring the deserts and mountains of Southern California and in later years the rolling hills of Central Texas.

He dearly loved his family.

Wayne is survived by his wife Carolyn, brother Thomas Ronald and wife Anita; children and spouses Richard (Shelly) Brown, John Brown, Natalie (Mike) Farrell, Melissa (Ted) Duckworth, Cynthia (Shawn) Turner; grandchildren and spouses, Garrett (Hannah), Brianne (Rico), Jesse (Amber), Sarah, Rebekah, April (Donny), Brittani, Kyle (Amanda); great grandchildren Emma, Wyatt, Parker, Austyn, Isaac, Kamden, Haili, Maddie, Caroline and Oliver.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Virginia, his wife Mary, her son Richard and his brothers James and Michael.

Visitation will be available on Friday, March 18 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. Family members will be present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 19 at Brenham’s First Baptist Church, 304 N Market St, Brenham, TX 77833.  Viewing will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the celebration at 2:00 PM.

Burial will follow at Atkinson Cemetery in Chappell Hill.

In lieu of flowers, please make gifts to Bread Partners in Brenham or Hospice Brazos Valley.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
