Deissy Viridiana Grimaldo (Rubio), 35, of Brenham, passed away on February 20, 2021. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 26, from 12pm until the rosary is recited at 7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Visitation will continue at 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday. All visitation times will take place at Memorial Oaks Chapel. On Saturday afternoon at 2pm a funeral mass will be held for Deissy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. In the days following the funeral, Deissy will be taken home to Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico for her burial services, at the Parque Funeral San Joaquin Cemetery.

Deissy was born on November 12, 1985, in Aldama, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was Baptized on June 21,1987 and First Communion on June 11, 2000 in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Deissy was a happy person and had a free spirit. She had big dreams in life, but the great love she had for her family was always present and was an anchor for her. She met the love of her life Samuel Grimaldo in November of 2017 in Houston, Texas. They fell in love quickly and married on February 24, 2018 in Brenham and bought their first home in July of 2018. They were blessed with a daughter, Alexa Viridiana, on October of 2018 who Deissy loved very much. Deissy was a wonderful mother, she was extremely caring, protective, and attentive. Although Deissy had only been part of the Grimaldo family for a short time, she loved her in-laws deeply and was very close with them, especially her nieces and nephews. Deissy had a good heart and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Deissy is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Grimaldo; daughter Alexa Viridiana Grimaldo; her mom Norma Aracely Garcia Cardenas; siblings Arely Rubio Garcia and Milton Ismael Cruz Garcia; her dad Joel Rubio Mendoza; mother and father in law Cosme D. Grimaldo and spouse Anna Grimaldo; sisters in law and brothers in law Yoana Grimaldo and spouse, Edwin Moreno, Cosme D. Grimaldo, Jr. and spouse, Leticia Grimaldo, Melissa Grimaldo and spouse, Nestor Aguilera; and nieces and nephews Alondra Abigail and Jose Julian Dominguez Rubio; Giovani, Lionel, Briana and Tatiana Moreno; Mariana Grimaldo; Joshua and Judith Aguilera. Her grandparents Eduvijes Cardenas Davila (maternal) and Edmundo Garcia Bujanos (maternal) and Idolina Mendoza Barrientos (paternal) and by many aunts and uncles.

Deissy is preceded in death by grandfather Martin Rubio Izaguirre (paternal) and uncle Rafael Ramirez.

La visita con la familia será el Viernes 26 de Febrero a partir de las 12 pm hasta el comienzo del rosario a las 7 pm en la capilla Memorial Oaks. El velorio continuará desde las 9:00 am hasta las 12:00 pm del Sábado. Todos los horarios de visita tendrán lugar en Memorial Oaks Chapel. El Sábado por la tarde a las 2 pm se llevará a cabo una misa fúnebre para Deissy en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary en Brenham. Deissy nació el 12 de Noviembre de 1985 en Aldama, Tamaulipas, México. Fue Bautizada el 21 de Junio de 1987 y La Primera Comunión el 11 de Junio de 2000 en Tamaulipas, México. Deissy era una persona feliz y tenía un espíritu libre. Tenía grandes sueños en la vida, pero el gran amor que tenía por su familia siempre estuvo presente y fue un ancla para ella. Conoció al amor de su vida Samuel Grimaldo en Noviembre del 2017 en Houston, Texas. Se enamoraron rápidamente y se casaron el 24 de Febrero de 2018 en Brenham y compraron su primera casa en Julio de 2018. Fueron bendecidos con una hija, Alexa Viridiana, en Octubre de 2018 a quien Deissy amaba mucho. Deissy fue una madre maravillosa, fue extremadamente cariñosa, protectora y atenta. Aunque Deissy solo había sido parte de la familia Grimaldo por poco tiempo, amaba profundamente a sus suegros, cuñadas y cuñados y era muy cercana a ellos, especialmente a sus sobrinas y sobrinos. Deissy tenía un buen corazón y todos los que la conocieron la extrañarán profundamente.

A Deissy le sobreviven su amado esposo, Samuel Grimaldo; hija Alexa Viridiana Grimaldo; su mamá Norma Aracely García Cárdenas; su hermanos Arely Rubio García y Milton Ismael Cruz García; su papá Joel Rubio Mendoza; suegros Cosme D. Grimaldo y esposa Anna Grimaldo; cuñadas y cuñados Yoana Grimaldo y esposo, Edwin Moreno, Cosme D. Grimaldo, Jr. y esposa, Leticia Grimaldo, Melissa Grimaldo y esposo, Nestor Aguilera; y sobrinas y sobrinos Alondra Abigail y Jose Julian Dominguez Rubio; Giovani, Lionel, Briana and Tatiana Moreno; Mariana Grimaldo; Joshua y Judith Aguilera. Sus abuelos Eduvijes Cardenas Dávila (materno) y Edmundo García Bujanos (materno) y Idolina Mendoza Barrientos (paterno) y muchas tías y tíos.

Deissy es precedida en la muerte por el abuelo Martín Rubio Izaguirre (paterno) y tío Rafael Ramírez.
