A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville with Pastor Glenn Hohlt officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation with the family will be held in the Family Life Center at Zion Lutheran Church following the service.

Weldon was born on July 22, 1934 in Shelby, Texas to Willie and Hattie (Pontruff) Krinke.  He was baptized and confirmed in Welcome Lutheran Church.  He attended school through the 9th grade at County Line School in Latium and Wesley School.

Weldon proudly served in the United States Army in Korea from 1957 to 1959, where he was an airplane mechanic.

On March 12, 1961, Weldon married Marjorie (Margie) Drews at Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville, where he remained a faithful member until his death.  Weldon and Margie were blessed with three children:  Kathy, Linda and Gary.

Weldon, while he was still able, enjoyed fishing and hunting, barbecuing and working in his yard and vegetable garden.  In his younger years, he always worked on his own vehicles, and there weren’t too many other things that he couldn’t fix.  Over the years, Weldon worked at Maddox Furniture, Lee Roy Drews Construction and Texas Fibers, where he retired from in 1999.  After retirement, he continued to work as a self-employed master electrician.

Weldon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie; his daughter Kathy Blum and her husband Craig;  his son Gary Krinke and his wife Sherry, all of Brenham; his granddaughter Audrey Masters and her husband Cole of Houston; his sister Delores Kuehn of Industry; and his sisters-in-law Gertrude Krinke and Elvera Drews, both of Brenham.  Nieces and nephews include Cynthia Kuehn, Lori Krchnak (husband Joey), Alan Kuehn, Beth Rothermel (husband Gary), Kristy Pieper (husband Neal), Debbie Lynn (husband Tony), Carol Gaskamp (husband Rickey), Ronnie Hohlt (wife Sheri) and Kim Cmajdalka (husband Paul) and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Weldon was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Linda Krinke Scott in 1991 and his granddaughter Lauren Blum Rupe in 2017.  Also predeceasing him are his parents, brother Glady Krinke and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edwin Kuehn, LeeRoy and Joyce Drews, Milton Drews, Willie Jr. and Alvira Drews, and Wilfred and Dorothy Hohlt.

Pallbearers will be Gary Krinke, Craig Blum, Cole Masters, Alan Kuehn, Joey Krchnak and Ronnie Hohlt.
