Walter N. Green, 87, of Brenham, died December 25, 2003, in Caldwell, Texas, doing what he loved. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Charles Matejowsky officiating. Burial service will be held at 3:30 P.M. at the Providence Cemetery in Caldwell with Pastor Bob Owens officiating. Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.. Mr. Green was born December 17, 1916, in Caldwell, Texas, the son of Nathan and Emma Leach Green. He attend the Caldwell schools. On October 31, 1941, he married Ima Ruth Key in Caldwell. He was a retired rancher and his love was his ranch work, working with his cows, dogs, and horses. Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, John & Linda Green of Brenham; daughter, Betty Jean B.J. Hegemeyer of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Suzy & David Blakey of Brenham, Rhonda & Adam Spies of Brenham, Jonathan Bubba Green of Brenham, Brandy and Jarret Fajkus of La Grange and Laurie Hegemeyer & Doc Loya of Waller; great-grandchildren, Joshua Daniels Blakey, Caitlyn Blakey, Morgan Dell Fajkus, Rhealee Nicole Spies, Jarron Vincent Fajkus, and Rafe Lucas Loya. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother and five sisters. Pallbearers will be Adam Spies, Jarrett Fajkus, Doc Loya, David Blakey, David McMahan, Butch Hegemeyer, Jason Derrick, and Bubba Green. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
