Veronica Johnson

Veronica Marie Johnson, 86 of Brenham passed away January 17, 2026.

Marie was born May 17, 1939 in Stoneham, Texas to Franklin and Dorothy Yorek.

On May 16, 1991, Marie married Eugene Johnson. They were married for 31 years before he passed in 2022. She was an animal lover who had many pets over the years. Marie loved her family and for the last three years she was cared for by her daughter.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law: James and Tran McBryde, Nathan McBryde; her daughter: Deana White; brothers and sisters-in-law: Sonnie and Stella Yorek, Pete and Maureen Yorek, Danny and Elva Yorek; sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Wayne Williams, Betty and Greg Iffla, Frances Reisig, Sandy and Roland Johnson, Virginia and Anthony Pry, and Mary and Jack McGinnis; her grandchildren: Jeremy Geistweidt, Brandy Hayes, Amber Arnal, Mandy Loe, Brandon McBryde, Justin McBryde, and Nicholas McBryde and 16 great grandchildren.

The visitation with the family will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
