Sydney Wagner

Sydney Claire Wagner, beloved daughter of Zachary and Whitney Wagner, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a world forever changed by her bright spirit and precious smile and laugh.

Born on June 8, 2012, in College Station, TX. She was baptized October 7, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Prairie Hill. Sydney was born with RCDP Type 1, Life with RCDP brought many challenges and battles but it was a good life, full of joy and cherished moments. Her days were marked with deep love, joy, laughter, music and connection with her family and caregivers. Sydney loved listening to her Toddler Tunes all day, being in the comfort of her home, laying on laps, massages, and time with her loving family and caregivers. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her parents, Zachary and Whitney; grandparents maternal grandmother Kerry Hughes and the late Henry Wright "Bubba" Hughes. Paternal grandparents Vernon and Judy Wagner; Uncle Wade Hughes, Special Aunt and Caregiver Kay Phillips, Maternal Great Grandmother Mildred JoAnn Kominczak and the late Bennie Kominczak and Henry and Nancy Hughes. Paternal great grandparents the late Jimmy and Edna Plantt and the late Henry and Esther Wagner. Along with extended family; god parents; friends and all who had the privilege to know her. Many people never met Sydney due to her disorder, but many people loved, cared and prayed for Sydney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sydney's Godparents, Jason and Amy Supak, Wade Hughes, Lori Wessinger and the late Laura Jones and her RhizoKids Family.

A funeral service for Sydney will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church Prairie Hill located at 6605 Old Independence Road, Brenham, Texas with Pastor Norm Sulaica Jr. officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to RhizoKids.com in Sydney's memory.

Sydney's light may have left this earth too soon, but her love will live on in the hearts of all who cherished her.
