Stella Louise Swierkowski Mikolajczak wife of the late Henry Charles Mikolajczak, Sr. passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in Chappell Hill, Texas at her home surrounded by her family.

Stella was born September 27, 1940, in Chappell Hill to Theresa Konieczny Swierkowski and Stanley Swierkowski. She was a faithful and lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill. She was baptized and confirmed and a member of the Holy Rosary Society. She attended school at Armstrong School in Chappell Hill. Stella moved to Houston to find work, and after being gone a few years, she decided that Chappell Hill is where she needed to be. She met Henry Mikolajczak at church on Christmas Eve, after he opened the door for her to welcome her inside and their first date after church was to go rabbit hunting. On April 29, 1961, Stella married the love of her life Henry Charles Mikolajczak, Sr. and they made their home in Chappell Hill. They started their family shortly after and had 4 children, Henry Jr., John, Margaret and Frank. For 45 years, Stella was employed at Chappell Hill Sausage, whom she referred to The Cone Family as her second family. Stella retired in February 2013. Stella enjoyed being retired and would go on trips with her friends. Going to the casino to gamble was always in the making anytime she had the chance. She loved her family, baking, gardening, playing bingo, dominoes, cards and putting puzzles together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Theresa Swierkowski, her brother Joseph (Joe) Swierkowski, sister and brother-in-law Verna and Bruno Faterkowski, brother-in-law Johnny Skweres, nephews Johnny Ray (Boogie) Skweres, Richard Murski, and Joe John Faterkowski and niece JoAnn Roberts.

She is survived by her sons Henry Jr. and Kristin Mikolajczak, John and Becky Mikolajczak, her daughter Margaret and Darrin Zwerneman and son Frank Mikolajczak; sister-in-law Margaret Swierkowski-Smith; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sophie and Jack Murski; and sister-in-law Shirley (Ann) Skweres. Grandchildren include Shane Mikolajczak, Chase (Brooke) Mikolajczak, Dillon (Angelica) Mikolajczak, Jared (Lexaley) Mikolajczak, Kenna (Dustin) Schram, Tristan (Cheyenne) Zwerneman and Zoe Zwerneman. Great grandchildren include Braxton and Marcie Mikolajczak and Ellie Schram, and numerous nieces and nephews and their wives, husbands and children. Stella also has two God children Janice Skweres and Patsy Gutkowski Fischer.

Pallbearers will be Shane Mikolajczak, Chase Mikolajczak, Dillon Mikolajczak, Jared Mikolajczak, Tristan Zwerneman, Matt Swierkowski, Doug Cone and Tim Murski.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenna Schram, Zoe Zwerneman, Ellie Schram, Marcie Mikolajczak, Braxton Mikolajczak, Amy Wellman, Rebecca Thiem, Sarah Bertram, Kristi Ramsey and Cecilia Faterkowski.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10:00 am offered by Father Thaddeus Tabak, SDS at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church located at 9175 FM 1371 Chappell Hill, Texas with burial to follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.

We would also like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, The Health Hub of ATM, Pam Rehabilitation, Hermann Memorial, Baylor Scott and White and Accent Care and Jill with Wound Care. Brazos Valley Hospice for all the love and care they have given Stella and her family. We would also like to thank our wonderful team of caregivers from the bottom of our hearts Mrs. Eunice Ragston, Mrs. Sonya Lewis, Mrs. Keerra Garrett, Mrs. Nereida Ortiz, Mrs. Kimberly Crawford, and Mrs. Sherry Newsome who have spent countless hours taking care of Stella. May her soul Rest in Peace and let the Perpetual Light Shine upon Her.
