Spencer Scott

November 28, 1977 — July 21, 2021

Spencer Kent Scott, 43, of Brenham passed away on July 21, 2021 in a car accident.

Our world lost one of the kindest, most generous souls on this day.

Spencer was happiest when he was lending a hand to others. And since there was not much he couldn’t do—he was always busy.

He found his passion for cars working with his dad in the family car business and in his twenties he could be found drag racing his Chevy Nova “The Trash King”.  He enjoyed the independence of being self-employed traveling around the country buying and selling cars with his business In-&-Out Auto. He was always the go-to guy helping friends and family buy and repair their cars. Fixing cars with his nephew Korbin were special times for him.

Some of his passions and talents included playing pool, bowling, fishing, and grilling. He showed his love for his family through all the incredible meals he made for them. Recently, he rediscovered his love for team roping at rodeos. These were some of the sweetest memories for him the last few months of his life.

Spencer especially loved his nieces, nephews, and godchildren. His playful side came out when they were together. He spent quality time with them fishing, roller-skating, tending animals, and winning prizes at the arcade. His skills at grabbing stuffed animals at The Claw machine are legendary.

He is survived by his beloved life partner of twenty-two years, Rita Eischen. His mother and step-dad, Sharon and Clarence Giles of Burton. His siblings: Connie Smits (Doug) of Charleston, South Carolina; Shane Scott (Amy) of Lake Jackson, Texas; September Scott of Austin, Texas; Summer Scott-Sexton (Tim) of Los Angeles, California; Stayton Scott of Brenham, Texas; and his precious nieces, nephews, and godchildren: Jeronimo, Audrey, Riley, Lainey, Martina, Korbin, Eliseo, Ariella, Karac, Max, Madelyn, and Baby Sally.

Preceding him in death was his dad, Ronald “Scotty” Scott.

Viewing will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Celebration of Spencer’s life will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11am at  the Texas Cotton Gin Museum (Roy Winkler Family Pavilion) 307 N. Main St. Burton, Texas. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Burton.
