Sharilyn Stegent

Sharilyn Diane Stegent, 58, of Brenham, died Jan. 3, 2019, in Navasota.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Cowboy Church of Brenham with Marty Mosher officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Ms. Stegent was born July 11, 1960 in Houston to Marion Pete and Genevieve (Konieczny) Rybarski. She worked for Brenham State Supported Living Center and as a dispatcher for Brenham Ready Mix. She loved her grandchildren and being with her friends. Her hobbies were playing bingo and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed listening to thunder storms.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Dwayne Jr. and Heather Stegent, and Daniel Stegent, all of Brenham; mother, Genevieve Rybarski of Brenham; brothers and sister-in-law, Marion Rybarski Jr. and Robert and Jill Rybarski, all of Brenham; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and Jody Kapchinski and Peggy and Loyd Bland, all of Brenham; grandchildren, Wyatt and Brody Stegent, and Dwayne Stegent III.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Rybarski.

Pallbearers will be Dillin Rybarski, Tommy Bolcerek, Donnie Rybarski, Jeffery Montgomery, Ervin Montgomery Jr., Brandon Kapchinski, Jeremy Fritz, and Jonathan Fritz. Her grandchildren will be considered honorary pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Cowboy Church of Brenham or Golden Creek Nursing and Rehab in Navasota.
