Robert Sehlke

Robert William Sehlke, 42, of Brenham, died Nov. 5, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Sehlke was born Aug. 24, 1960, in Brenham, to Edward W. and Ruby Schroeder Sehlke. He was baptized Oct. 2, 1960 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg by Pastor Zimmermann and was confirmed in Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson. He was educated in League City School and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg. Survivors include his parents, Edward W. and Ruby Sehlke of Brenham; grandmother, Isabel Sehlke of Brenham; aunts and uncles, Betty Hohlt of Burton, Clarice and Bobby Bredthauer of Bryan and Alice and Elwood Ahlhardt of Greenvine; and cousins, Allan and Glenn Hohlt, Kevin and Craig Hohlt, Byron Bredthauer, Kathy and Mike Ransleben, Linda and Daniel Wade, Amy and Amanda Ransleben, Stephan and Mickey Ransleben and Lisa, Laura and Kelly Wade. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lydia and Robert H. Schroeder and E.L. Sehlke; uncle, Elmer Hohlt; and cousin, Al Ahlhardt. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rehburg with Pastor Larry Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Howard Giese, Allen Hohlt, Kevin Hohlt, Craig Hohlt, Glenn Hohlt, Byron Bredthauer and Bobby Bredthauer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg or the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
