Robert Carl Grimes

Robert "Bob" Carl Grimes (70) was born on March 8th, 1956 and passed away peacefully at his home in Latium, TX surrounded by family on Thursday, May 21st 2026.

Bob grew up in Miami, FL where his love of the water and fishing began. He moved to Texas in 1979 where he would meet his wife Sharon. They were married in 1981 and two years later started a family. He often shared his cooking talents at church fish fries and barbecuing for special occasions or just a random Saturday. He was a member of the Cayenne Social Club, who he competed in the Houston Rodeo Cook-Off with for many years. Bob worked at Mustang Cat for 45 years where he retired in 2024. After retirement Bob and Sharon moved to Latium, TX where he could regularly be found mowing the pasture and listening to Jimmy Buffet.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rowena and Kenneth Grimes. He is survived by his children Justin (Nikita) Grimes, Jessica (James) Taylor, Jack Grimes, and John (Sarah) Grimes; his grandchildren Kara, Mason, Jude, Bailey, Harrison and Madison; his siblings Steven (Suzi) Grimes, and Karen (Kevin Sr.) Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews.
