Robert Beamon

Robert LaRoy “Big Robby” Beamon, 59, died November 4,2018 in Brenham.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Macy Memorial Cemetery in Normangee, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Robert Beamon was born July 26, 1959 in Houston to Robert Larry Beamon and Shirley Ann (Raby) Bright. He was the owner-operator of Rafter Five Trucking .

Always an early riser, Robert was always busy with various building projects. He questioned anyone who showed up at 8 a.m., telling them that part of the day was already wasted. He could never sit still and always had an answer for everything.

He treasured time spent with his kids and grandkids, and enjoyed hunting and camping in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Bright and husband Gary of New Ulm; sons Robert Beamon Jr. (Briana) of Brenham; Jesse Beamon (special friend, Meagan McCarrell); James Beamon of Bleiblerville; Donnie Beamon of Brenham; daughters Deanna Roberts ( special friend Josh Homan) of Brenham; grandfather, James Robert Beamon of Normangee; sisters Connie Campos (Dardy); Sherilyn Jester and Dee Dee Beamon; brother-in-law “Boots” Loper; grandchildren: Emerey Beamon, Dacie Beamon, Cora Beamon, Blakelyn Beamon, Paislee Grace, and Payton Beamon. Also surviving are numerous other relatives.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Larry Beamon; sisters, Tammy Loper and Alma Beamon, and brother-in-law Allen Jester.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Beamon, Jr., Jesse Beamon, James Beamon, Donnie Beamon, Eric Biedanski, Josh Homan, Collin Beamon, and Michael Barrett. All close family friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
