Rita Ann Mikeska, 67 of Chappell Hill, was carried home by the angels on April 28, 2025.
Rita was born on September 10, 1957 in Bellville, Texas to Pat and Jean Mikeska of Bleiberville. Rita was baptized and confirmed. She attended Bellville High School through the 11th grade.
Rita had many hobbies, enjoyed helping others, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family simply having a good time. She could always bring a smile to the party and had a joke to tell. She had many hats and was known as Mama Rita to most.
Rita is survived by her children, Alysha Younse and fiance' Ric Martin, and Patrick Faithauer and girlfriend Taylor Balarezo; grandchildren, Jessica Younse, MaKayla Penny, Sadie Faithauer and Charlie Faithauer and his mother, Caitlin Boyle: great-grandchildren, A'Nylah Auston, and RJ and Avalynn Hudson. Brothers, Glen Mikeska of Fayetteville and Frank Mikeska of Chappell Hill; sisters, Linda Peschel of Industry, and Gwen Zapalac and husband Rodney of Bellville; her aunt, Ethel Leonard and Beryl Bailey of England; uncles, Granville Leonard and Brian Bailey of England; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Jean (Bailey) Mikeska; father, Pat Ray Mikeska; grandparents, Fred and Ethel Bailey; and step grandmother, Hilda Bailey, Frank and Fannie Mikeska; aunts/uncles, Lonnie and May Mikeska; and Stewart Bailey; brother, Kenneth Mikeska; brother-in-law, Bill Peschel; and sons, Charles Glenn Mikeska and Brian Alan Faithauer.
Special friends: Kim Kopecky and Darrell Drews, Russell Fisher and Lisa Valentine, and many friends and children that she didn't raise but she was known as Mama Rita too.
A memorial service for Rita will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Nelsonville Brethren Church located at 332 Nelsonville Church Rd., Bellville, Texas.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 W. Main Street, Brenham, Texas.
