Rebecca Marshall

June 28, 1973 — December 15, 2022

Brenham, TX

Rebecca Sue Hannath Marshall, 49, of Brenham, wife of Eddie Marshall, died December 15th, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Cypress, Texas. Born June 28, 1973 in Brenham, Texas to Roger Earl Hannath and Suzanne Schwarze Hannath. Rebecca was baptized August 26,1973, and confirmed May 3, 1987, at Zion Lutheran Church, Brenham. She was a 1991 graduate of Brenham High School. She went on to attend Sam Houston State University where she majored in accounting and graduated in 1996.  On November 22, 1997, she married Eddie Marshall in Zion Lutheran, Brenham.  She was an accountant in the Student Services Department at Blinn College.

Rebecca was an avid sports fan and a loving, proud mother. She was loyal to all things Houston sports, in particular she loved everything about the Houston Astros and the Houston Oilers/Texans. Although she loved the teams previously mentioned, her favorite teams were whatever teams that her 3 kids were playing on. She never missed an event, of any kind, that her children were involved in. Whether it was a spring night at Fireman’s Park supporting Brenham Cubs Baseball, traveling across the country to watch a countless number of softball games with Kathryn, or cheering under those Friday Night Lights as her baby boy and the Brenham Cubs Football program battled it out at Cub Stadium; she was going to be there until the very end.

While her love of sports and making it to all of her kid’s events was her life, her love for her husband and spending time with her family was unrivaled none. Her favorite past time did not involve a particular event, place, or thing. Her favorite past time involved her spending time with her husband and three kids. The activity was never important to her, the only thing that she cared about was being together with her family and loving them more than anything in the world.

She was a perfect wife, a perfect mother, a perfect daughter, and a perfect sister. She will be dearly missed and her love for her family as well as her community will never be forgotten. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Marshall of Brenham; son Zachary Marshall of Brenham; daughter Kathryn Marshall of Brenham; son Logan Marshall of Brenham; mother Suzanne Hannath of Brenham; brother Walt Hannath of Houston; mother and father-in-law Kennith and Carol Marshall of Brenham; sister-in-law Joellen Fritz of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Paula Noak of Carmine; brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Christy Starkey of Haslet; Uncles and Aunts, Barry and Pam Hannath, Barbara and Lonnie Tegeler, Linda and Alan Reid, Mary Ann and JT Grounds, Doug and Kathy Schwarze, Cindy and Pete Gedriatis, David and Bessie Schwarze, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
