Ralph Kirchhofer, Jr.

Ralph MacFarlane Kirchhofer, Jr., 80, of Humble, Texas died peacefully in Humble on January 29, 2024.  He was born on March 10, 1943, to Jean Robertson Kirchhofer and Ralph MacFarlane Kirchhofer, Sr. in Darby, PA.

Ralph Kirchhofer lived a rich life filled with the blessings of family and career. After graduation from Haverford High School (PA) in 1962 he earned his BS at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. in 1966.

Ralph met and married his college sweetheart, Lynda, and began a teaching and coaching career at the Hopkins Grammar School in New Haven, CT from 1966-1986. He remains beloved among the Hopkins Wrestling Alumni.

Ralph used his administrative capabilities and coaching skills as a corporate manager with Pierce Business Archives/Iron Mountain from 1986-2001. 

After nearly 30 years walking with and serving his Lord and Savior, Ralph and Lynda were commended to fulltime work as Bible teachers and church planters in British Columbia 2001-2023.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, Lynda Kirchhofer of Humble; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Ruth Kirchhofer of Humble, Ralph III and Jennifer Kirchhofer of Coatesville, PA.; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen and David Tressler of Mt. Joy, PA., Kate Kirchhofer of Philadelphia, PA. and Hannah Kirchhofer of San Marcos, TX.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Berkley Kirchhofer and Maria Alvarez, and Laird Kirchhofer and Linda Doty; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Peter Pierce and Sally Chesney Burke and Brian Burke.

Additionally, he is survived by his grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler & Kristie Kirchhofer, Emilie, Lilly and Ella Kirchhofer,  James, Jesse, Jed, Joshua, Karoline and Kathleen Shakarji; great-grandchild Lance Andrew Kirchhofer; his nephews, J. Peter Pierce, Matthew Pierce, Andrew, Kevin and Kyle Berardnelli and their wives and children.

The funeral service for Ralph Kirchhofer, Jr. is scheduled for Friday, February 16, 2024 at Bethany Christian Church of Burton at 1:00 p.m.   Visitation for the family only will be at 11:00 a.m. with public visitation from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brooke, Tyler, Kristie, Emilie, Lilly and Ella Kirchhofer, Jed and Joshua Shakarji.
