Nola Jean Luetge, 77, of Burton, TX, died on March 1, 2021 in Brenham, TX.

A visitation will be held from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Carmine Cemetery with Pastor Merlin Swan officiating.

Nola was born on December 14, 1943 in Rockdale, TX to Dewey and Fannie Arvilla Haggard Simmons. She was baptized in the First Pentecostal Church of Brenham, TX by Pastor Merlin Swan. She graduated from Durham College and achieved a Business Degree and worked at Longwood.

Nola’s faith was strong. Her love for her children, grandchildren, family, and church were devoted constantly. Her passion for putting smiles on family and friends faces and in their hearts was contagious. She enjoyed tasty homemade cakes and pastries and family meals, which created many laughs and everlasting memories.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Luetge and wife Michelle; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Wiesepape and husband Craig; sister, Mary Louis Witte; grandchildren, Jamie Dawn Wiesepape, Joshua Wade Wiesepape, Katherine Elaine Luetge; great-grandchildren, Victoria Nicole Wiesepape, Christian James-Edward Wiesepape, and Camron Alexzander Wiesepape; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she all loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Haggard Simmons; father, Dewey Simmons; son, Christopher Michael Luetge; brother, Jones Simmons; sister, Glays Lynn; brother-in-law, J.M. Lynn; and brother-in-law, Jerry Witte.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jerry Witte Jr., Aaron Hopewell, Joshua Wiesepape, Eddie Luetge, Ricky Brending, Christian Wiesepape, and Camron Wiesepape.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
