Nellie Faye Lorenz, 74, of Brenham passed away on July 10, 2023 at Baylor Scott and White in College Station. Visitation will be 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023 with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Merlin Swan officiating.

Faye was born on April 4, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Richard Chris Miller and Audrey Joyes Happner. She loved being a care provider for her special needs son, Michael. She worked for Evans Cabinets for many years before she retired. She enjoyed paintings, arts and crafts, reading and sitting and talking to her best friend Sheryl. She also loved sunflowers and her morning coffee. Faye's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She always had a heart of gold and would help anyone. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Michael James Krolczyk. Daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Marty Schulz of Hempstead. Daughter and son-in law, Becky and Scott Ballard of Brenham. Grandchildren, Lauren Guerra, Madison Schulz and special friend Luke, Lyndsey Ballard and Logan Ballard. Brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Inez Weishuhn of Livingston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Lorenz. Her parents Richard Chris Miller and Audrey Joyes Happner. Step-dad, Leroy Happner.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Krolczyk, Marty Schulz and Scott Ballard.

The family would like to thank all of Faye's friends that would help and assist her at home.
