Nell Ikard

Nell I. Ikard, 94, of Brenham, the widow of Milton Ikard, died Jan. 12, 2005, in Brenham Rest Home. Mrs. Ikard was born May 29, 1910, in Henrietta, TX, to Charles and Emma Ingram. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a retired librarian in Seminole. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Donni Ikard of Brenham and Gerry and Yvonne Ikard of Chambers; brother, Charles Ingram of Dennison; sister, Hazel Ware of San Angelo; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14 in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Steve Ponder officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Paul Ikard, Clay Ikard, Kyle Ikard, Will Ikard, J.W. Burchfield and Clyde Schnyder. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
