Michael Anthony
Redman
Dec 13, 1949 — Jun 22, 2026
Michael (Mike) Anthony Redman, 76, passed away on June 22, 2026 at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brenham, Texas.
Mike, as he was known to many, was born in Ballinger, Texas where he was baptized (1950) at Norton Methodist Church of Norton, Texas, and confirmed (1964) at Sonora United Methodist Church in Sonora, Texas. Mike graduated from Sonora High School in 1968. Upon graduation, he entered the Brackenridge School of Radiology in Austin, where he met his future wife, Doris Jean Plueckhahn. The couple married on April 3, 1971.
Mike graduated with an associate's degree in radiologic technology in 1970 and began a long and dedicated career in healthcare. He worked at Brackenridge Hospital before moving to Carmine, where he joined St. Jude Hospital. After 23 years of service, he retired as a Radiology Supervisor at the Brenham Clinic.
While living in Brenham, Mike and Doris raised their two sons, Justin and Casey.
After retirement, Mike pursued a new venture in the used car business, purchasing All Auto Sales in Brenham. He enjoyed the challenges of buying and selling cars, as well as the opportunity to own several vehicles himself. Due to health concerns and changes in the industry, Mike eventually sold the business in 2002 and focused on enjoying retirement. He took great pleasure in caring for his land and spending time with Doris, his wife of 55 years.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Redman, Jr.(1999) and Dorothy Jean Redman (2024), and his niece, Marla Jo Plueckhahn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Jean Redman of Brenham; his sons, Justin Redman (Brandie) of Brenham and Casey Redman (Lisa) of Brenham; his grandchildren, Savanah Redman, Ava Redman, Emily Redman, and Alexander Redman; and his sisters, Charlotte Castro (Alex) of Sonora, Texas, and Natalie Dunnam (Richard) of Graham, Texas.
Pallbearers will be: Justin Redman, Alexander Redman, Ricky Gaskamp, Alex Castro, Richard Dunnam, and Lance Castro.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Brenham Nursing and Rehab and Brazos Valley Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and love shown to Mike during his final moments.
