Mary Sorelle

Mary Elizabeth SoRelle, 90, of Brenham, died March 25, 2013, in High Hope Care Center in Brenham. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 at Greenvine Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenvine. Mrs. SoRelle was born July 12, 1922, in Houston, Texas to Henky and Hesley Lamb Sayer . She was a member of Greenvine Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women''s Ministry and taught Sunday school. Known as "Granny Baby," she was a wonderful cook, and a mother to her grandchildren, whom she loved. She enjoyed spending Sundays with her family. She also loved to garden, and was quite a seamstress. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Carol SoRelle of Kyle; and daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ronnie Rippenhagen of La Grange; grandchildren Jennifer Stewart, Mike Wiggins, Shelby Laughton, Megan Laughton, and James SoRelle III; great-grandchildren: Diana Faulkner, Carolina Hopper, Arielle Wiggins, and Vaden Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim SoRelle, and a daughter, Judy Laughton. Memorials may be given to Greenvine Baptist Church.
