Marty Brodnax

Marty Brodnax was born on February 6, 1933 in Rusk, Texas, the daughter of William & Josephine Weems Denman. The widow of A.C. Curly Brodnax, Marty died at her home in Burton on September 30, 2003. A free-lance writer, Marty was fun loving, free spirited and true to her friends and family. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roger & Jill Brodnax of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Chase and Dustin Brodnax, and a number of special friends: Amanda Malone, Sue Womack, Don & Dinah McWilliams and Donna Hooper among them. Marty s family will receive callers in Memorial Oaks Chapel on Thursday night between 7 o clock and 9 o clock. The funeral service will be held on Friday morning, October 3, 2003 at 11 o clock in Memorial Oaks Chapel with James Peel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Burton, Texas.
