With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Maria Rodriguez, who left us on July 17, 2025, at the age of 92, wrapped in the love of her family in Bellville, Texas. Born in the small town of Elgin, Texas to Manuela Santos Galvan and Frederico Perez Galvan. Maria lived a life full of laughter, endless dance parties, kindness and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Maria was the heart of this family, a loving Mother to her two kids Sylvia (Park) Blair and Freddy Rodriguez, and a doting grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren who adored her. As a healthcare professional she spent her life dedicated to helping others whether in the office or riding the bus around town. In her free time, she loved picking flowers, dancing to any song with a funky beat and hand crafting her own jewelry out of whatever she could find.

Maria's spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched with her generosity and humor. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 loving husbands and her 4 sisters and 3 brothers and is survived by her loving family and a community that will forever cherish her memory.

Please join us to celebrate Maria's remarkable life Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a rosary at 4:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church located at 936 South Front Street, Bellville, Texas with burial to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery on Clens Road.
