Margie Wassermann Chambers of Brenham, Texas passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born on November 5, 1939 in New Ulm, Texas to Emil and Wanda Konieczny Wassermann.
Margie was a graduate of Brenham High School and was married to Tommy Chambers who preceded her in death on October 29, 2011. Together they owned and operated Petticoat Junction Café and Oak Hill Drive In.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommy; her son, Brian and her brothers, Arbie Wassermann and Kenneth Wassermann. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law Lance and Amanda Chambers and Roger and Lee Ann Chambers; her grandchildren Kinsey Chambers and Robert C. Herrera and Kendall Chambers and Byron Bardales; great-grandchildren Karter D. Herrera and Kohen L. Herrera and her sister and brother-in-law, Marcy and Henry Hendrickson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Margie Chambers are scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham for family and friends. Visitation will follow beginning at 5:00 P. M., Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham.
Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Mary's Catholic Church of Brenham.
