Luis Ramirez

Luis Antonio Ramirez of Hockley, Texas passed away on September 26, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born in Montemorelos, Mexico on January 7, 1944 to Pablo and Idoliza Ramirez.

After Luis completed school, he worked in the fence manufacturing business and was united in marriage with Isabel Garza. He loved fishing, gardening and hunting and was always tinkering. He especially enjoyed cookouts with his family and his brothers get togethers.

Luis is survived by his wife, Isabel Garza Ramirez; his children, Roy and Mary Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez, Roland Ramirez, Ruby Gonzales and Robert, Ronnie Ramirez, Mary Ayala and Eddie and Luis Antonio Ayala and Sonia. He is also survived by his siblings, Armando Ramirez, Gloria Wisenbaker, Juana Medina and Carlos Ramirez; 34 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Luis in death were his parents, Pablo and Idoliza Ramirez, son David Ramirez, and siblings, Pablo Ramirez, Rodrigo Ramirez and Juan Ramirez.

Funeral services for Luis Antonio Ramirez will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30 at St, John's United Church of Christ of Burton with Pastor Darrin Holub officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at the church prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at La Bahia Cemetery, 809 Boundary School Road, Burton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roland Ramirez, Jr., Ronnie Ramirez, Sr., Ronnie Ramirez, Jr., Francisco Casillas, Jr., Bobby Garza and Ramiro Ramirez.
