Lois Bell

Graveside services for Lois Ralsten Bell, 90, of Brenham and formerly of Luling, are set for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19 at Luling City Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Lammers, pastor of First Baptist Church in Luling will officiate. Mrs. Bell died Monday, July 16 in Brenham after a lengthy illness. She was born in Smithville to Henry Turner and Ellen Barbara Nink Rolsten and attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College. She taught school for several years and later became a business owner in Luling until she retired in 1980. Mrs. Bell was actively involved in the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as The Worthy Grand Matron of Texas in 1983. In 1993, she moved to Brenham to be closer to her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brenham, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday school class. Her husband, Wilson Bell, five sisters and one brother preceded Mrs. Bell in death. Survivors include her son, Dr. Wilson G. Bell, Jr. of Brenham; two granddaughters, Kristen Bell of Austin and Kathryn Bell of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Education Fund of OES Grand Chapter of Texas, 1111 East Division, Arlington, TX 76011.
