Linda Carol Neumann, 79 of Houston, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Linda was born March 13, 1946 in Hempstead, Texas to Alfred and Louise (Spoerle) Dewees.
On June 12, 1965 she married Ernest Neumann at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin.
Linda had a heart of gold. She enjoyed watching her grandkids in their early years to taking care of her elderly brothers and sisters later on even though she was the baby of the family! Linda loved dancing anywhere she could. She enjoyed heading to the casino at Lake Charles with Ernest. She loved to shop and expand her wardrobe. She enjoyed going for her Chick-fil-a kids meals, McDonald's senior coffee and McAlister's chicken salad sandwiches and unsweetened tea in between her mid-afternoon naps!
Nanny loved spending quality time with her grandkids and spoiling them dearly and loved her family unconditionally! She would do anything for anybody and her heart was full of love! She will be dearly missed!
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ernest Neumann; her sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Sheila Neumann, Kevin and Paula Neumann, Keith and Shawna Neumann; grandchildren: Josh Neumann and wife, Stephanie, Jordan Neumann, Paige Neumann, Cameron Neumann, Taylor Neumann; great-grandchildren: Liam Neumann, James Neumann, Bailey Neumann, Mallory Neumann and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Linda is preceded by her parents and her siblings: Al Dewees, Timmy Dewees, Bobby Dewees, Eddie Ray Dewees, Johnny Dewees, Ann Davidson, Gloria Sims, Thelma Kennedy and Margie Coleman.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16th at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 17th at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Chaplain Richard Ater officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Jeffrey Dewees, Josh Neumann, Brian Mills, Kenneth Neumann, David Kennedy and Cameron Neumann. Honorary pallbearer is Gary Kennedy.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, 15235 Spring Cypress Rd., Cypress, Texas 77429.
