Lewis Nelson White Jr.
Lewis Nelson White Jr. peacefully went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on March 10, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda White; his daughter, Terri Rogers Campos and husband David; his son, Rick Rogers II and wife Melody; his grandchildren: Aaron Ivie, Michael Ivie, Brendan Ivie, Natalie Ivie, Rick Rogers III, Mariah Bay, Renee Rogers and Marissa Rogers. Nelson is also survived by his sister, Mimi Booker, his brothers, Duncan and Preston White and niece, Amy Booker.
Nelson loved the Lord and was a faithful servant and patriarch of all his beloved family. He was a man of action and persuasion. He never left anything undone. He executed every ounce of work for the day and never sat down until it was finished. He loved his family, had a passion for the Word of God, the Church and was very loyal to all of his friends.
Nelson’s hobbies included golf, fishing, hunting and a fervent love of all animals, especially his dogs of whom he spoiled with early morning truck rides.
Nelson was a proud alum of The University of Texas, graduating class of 1962. His education was so vast that we haven’t the space to list the accolades. Nelson’s life is to be celebrated as his love made us stronger as a family.
We would like to thank the Brazos Valley Hospice for their excellent care they brought to our dad and the support they have given to our mom. We are eternally grateful and appreciative for Travis Kmiec (Wonder Boy) for all the years he has dedicated to our family and managing our ranch, most importantly as a faithful and loyal friend.
We are thankful for the grace and mercy that the Lord has bestowed upon us as a family. We give God all the glory for answering our prayers for a peaceful transition.
We are happy that Nelson will be greeted by those who preceded him in death, his father, Lewis Nelson White and mother, Amelia Duncan White.
We respectfully request that any memorial gifts and donations be directed to the City of Brenham Pet Adoption Center, 1804 Longwood Drive, Brenham, Texas.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2022, at 11:00am; 1004 Prairie Lea, Brenham, Texas
