Lenora Schulz

Lenora A. Wellbrock Schulz, 86, of Brenham, died November 27, 2003, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Schulz was born on February 8, 1917, in the Sandy Hill Community, Washington County, Texas, the daughter of Klaus and Emma Becker Wellbrock. She was baptized in the Christian faith April 8, 1917, in St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill and confirmed March 20, 1932 in the same church. On October 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Herbert B. Schulz in St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill and were blessed by the birth of one daughter. They enjoyed 32 years of farm life in the Prairie Hill area. Mr. Schulz preceded her in death on August 14, 1984. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill where she served on the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Lady s Auxiliary of the local fire department and worked with the local elections for many years. Survivors include her son-in-law, Kenneth Wolman of Bryan, TX, and grandchildren, Jenny Wolman Henton and husband Colby Shane Henton of Bryan, Jeffrey Neal Wolman of Bryan, sister-in-law, Hilda Scholttmann of Brenham and brother-in-law, Guss Neumann of Brenham. One great-grandchild, Chance Kenneth Henton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ann Wolman; brothers, John Wellbrock and Martin Wellbrock; sisters Norma Stegmann, Ella Addicks, Laura Neumann and Louise Wendler. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2003 in St. John Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill with Reverend Dr. Sue Beall. Burial to follow in the church cemetery .Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2003 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Albert Addicks, Ervin Addicks, Donald Wendler, Walter Stegmann, Jr., Leonard Wellbrock and Glenn Wellbrock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John s Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St. in Brenham.
