Lee Horak

Lee Thomas Horak, 61, of Brenham, passed away Jan.22 at BS&W.

He was born to Mary Krause Horak & John Horak. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served as an altar boy, and attended St. Mary’s Catholic grade school. He was a lifelong resident of Brenham TX. He loved fishing with his Dad & BJ. He had a passion for carpentry and loved to spend time with his family. If someone needed help, he was always there, especially for his mother. Would help any stranger and never expect anything in return.

Preceded in death, Father, John Steve Horak, Infant brother, Frank Steve Horak, brother, Clarence (Rock) Holder, Grandparents, John & Pearl Horak, Henry T. Krause Sr. & Louise Jozwiak Krause.

Survivors include mother: Mary Krause Horak of Brenham; sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann & Dave Exter, Donna Holder Paulk & Marshall; brothers and sisters-in-law: Brian (BJ) & Wendy Horak, Michael Holder, Sr. & Susie, Robert Holder; Special Friend: Peggy Marshall; Pets: Pook, Missy; Daughter: LeAnn Huston & Matt, grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Dave Exter, Jamie Nugent, John Neumann, Keith Garcia, Leroy Batts Jr. and Freddie Hugo.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Ernesto Elizondo officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral arrangements for Lee Horak are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
