Judith (Judee) Irene Schroeder (Utgard) died peacefully at home on April 3, 2020 in Katy, Texas at the age of 78.
Judee is survived by her husband, Alvin (Scooter) Schroeder, children, Deborah (DeeDee) Roberts of Canyon Lake, Texas, David Wilson of Buda, Texas, Suzanne Brown of Burnet, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Roberts of Servern Bridge, Ontario, Brittany Areias of Leander, Texas, Drexel and Scout Wilson of Buda, Texas, and Hayden Brown of Burnet, Texas; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Ayla and Cruz Roberts of Servern Bridge, Ontario and Jensen Areias of Leander, Texas; sister, Terri Hebert of Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Barbara Utgard of Dallas, Texas; sister, Nanci Geeslin of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Lori Schroeder of Katy, Texas; great grandson, Beau Areias of Leander, Texas.
Judee was born on March 17, 1942 in Willimantic, Connecticut to Bruce and Barbara Utgard. She graduated from Milby High School in 1960 and attended North Texas State. She married Alvin (Scooter) in 1982. They lived in Houston, Bastrop, Austin and Katy, Texas.
Judee was a witty individual who kept her sense of humor until the end. She was passionate about reading and tried to instill that in her children. She was a travel agent that helped grow her love of traveling. She has traveled the world, seeing many different countries and states. Her ardor for entertaining was evident each year at her holiday meals. She loved the Houston Texans and was proud to be part of the Battle Red Ladies.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. After the service there will be a reception at Memorial Oaks Chapel. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Judee's life.
