Janie Arnold

Janie Ann Arnold, 82, of Brenham, TX died on May 9, 2020 in Brenham, TX.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2020 followed by a rosary at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Deacon Al Prescott officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Brenham, TX on February 8, 1938 to Cruz and Frances Gurrola. She married her husband, Gerald Arnold, on November 21, 1972. She was employed at Sealy Mattress.

Mrs. Arnold loved to make candles, wreaths, and any crafting. She loved all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys! She loved gardening and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Arnold; son Johnny Sandoval; daughters Linda Sandoval and Linette Sandoval; daughters and sons-in-law Vickey and husband Richard Barkley and Gaylynn and husband Clyde Farguson; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Ybarra and husband Tom Ybarra and Estella and husband Ray Rivera; sister Rebecca Wilson; grandchildren Craig Sandoval, Jesse Sandoval, Cody Sandoval, Holly Kieke, Kasey Barkley, D.J. Farguson, Destiny Vargas, Krystle Justice; great-grandchildren Braden Saucedo, Alyssa Saucedo, Kason Kieke, Caiden Sandoval, Emarie Sandoval, Jace Sandoval, Ashlynn Lucky, Payton Justice, Landon Justice, Brycen Justice, and Braelynn Justice.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cruz Gurrola; mother Frances Gurrola; brothers; Steve Gurrola, Santos Gurrola, Martin Gurrola, Victor Gurrola, and sister Josephine Gurrola.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Sandoval, Cody Sandoval, Denver Sandoval, Clyde Farguson, Kyler Kieke, and John Arnold.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX.
