Janet Gonzalez, 47, courageously finished her fight with cancer with her loving family by her side on December 15, 2025. Janet was born on July 23, 1978 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Jose and San Juana Jaramillo.
Janet was a devoted mother, daughter and sister whose kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was more than family- she was a source of comfort, laughter and strength. From childhood through adulthood, she remained a steady presence in the lives of those she loved, always offering encouragement, understanding and compassion. Known for her warm heart and quiet strength, Janet showed her love through her actions. She had a natural ability to make others feel welcomed and valued. Whether through a thoughtful gesture, a listening ear, or her calm reassurance, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Janet is survived by her parents Jose and San Juana Jaramillo, her children; Ivan Salazar, Victor Avalos Jr., Victor Rey Avalos, Alexxyss Gonzalez, Victoria Avalos and Genesis Avalos and her siblings; Jose Luis Gonzalez Jr., Jose Luis Jaramillo Jr., Yessica Gonzalez, Maria Jaramillo and Jacqueline Jaramillo.
A visitation for Janet will be on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 701 Church Street, Brenham, Texas with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Jose Luis Jaramillo, Ivan Salazar, Jose Luis Gonzalez Jr., Jose Luis Jaramillo Jr., Gregorio Garcia and Jonathan Luis Flores.
