Irene Bacak

Irene Marie Bacak, 80, of Burton, died Nov. 4, 2019, in Brazos County, TX

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville. Burial will be in Davis Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Brenham, followed by visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Irene was born March 8, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, to Edgar Joseph and Mary Frances (Donovan) Bruegging.

Mrs. Bacak was joined in death by her husband, James William Bacak; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Bacak.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Bruegging of Overland Park, KS; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Judith Francis of Katy, Chris Francis of Brenham, Chris Bacak and Yaping Zheng of Plano, and Dwane and Dawn Bacak of Peachtree Corners, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Bacak of Houston, Cheryl and Richard Moxley of Oakton, VA, and Lisa and Robert Roth of Renton, WA; grandchildren, Annamarie Francis Beladi and husband Joevan, Xavier Francis and Fiancee Phoebe Matkin , Christina Carr, Clare Bacak, Stephen Moxley, John Moxley, Kayla Moxley, Sarah Roth, Emily Roth, Riley Bacak and Anya Bacak; great-grandchildren, Drake Beladi, Keeley Francis, Dylan Carr and Cheyenne Carr; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and George McGuire of Jefferson City, MO, Martha and Jim Kanoy of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Elizabeth “Betty” Conrad of Zainsville, OH; and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bacak was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Bruegging; her first husband, Gary Francis; and her son, Stephen Francis.

Pallbearers will be Jim Kanoy, George McGuire, Xavier Francis, Dylan Carr
