Harriet Kubeczka Grebe, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2019, at Brenham Scott and White Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 6 at 10:00am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill with Father James Deaconson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, with Rosary at 7:00pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas.
She was born July 7, 1936, in Brenham, Texas to Harry and Helen Kenjura. She married Mike J. Kubeczka, Sr. February 7, 1953 in Brenham, Texas, where they welcomed the birth of their children, and celebrated 37 years of marriage.
On March 1, 1997, she married Howard Grebe in Brenham, Texas. She was a homemaker, displaying her love for cooking, crocheting, gardening and sewing. Harriet truly loved her granddaughters, and tended to them everyday during their childhood, bringing them many memories. She had an uncanny ability to reach people through her spunky personality. She touched many lives through laughter.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Grebe; son and daughter-in-law, Mike J. and Karen Kubeczka, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Janice Kubeczka, sister, Gloria Witte and brother-in-law Ernest; brother-in-law, Melvin Dahse; brother-in-law, Antone Kubeczka and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Ruby Kubeczka; grandchildren, Nicole Porche, and husband Chris, Crystal Hinds, and husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Kinsley Porche; god-daughter, Claudia Walla and husband Ronnie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Mike J. Kubeczka, Sr.; parents, Harry and Helen Kenjura; sister, Rita Dahse; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe Hinds and Chris Porche; nephews, Greg Kubeczka and Ronnie Walla; and great-nephews, Colten and Dalton Walla.
Special thanks to Brenham Nursing & Rehab Center for the love and compassion shown to their “Granny” in her time spent there.
