Hai John Ly

Hai John Ly, 63, passed away on April 30, 2026. Hai was born on May 18, 1962, in Vietnam to Lat Ly and Tham Tran.

Hai moved to Brenham with his wife in 1988 and raised both children within this loving community. Through varied work including Bluebell Creamery and Farm Proprietorship, Hai supported his family and held the greatest pride in the success of his children. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hai lived a faith-filled life with his friends and family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with those he loved.

Hai is survived by his wife of 37 years, Hong Dang; his daughter, Hoai Jaclyn Hallam; and his son, Hung Jimmy Ly in addition to his parents and siblings.

A visitation for Hai will be held on Thursday May 7, and Friday May 8, 2026 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 701 Church Street, Brenham, Texas with Father Luis Dang officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic cemetery.
